I know, I talk about BSE fairly often and you are probably tired of hearing it but I found this interesting. Mad Cow has Confidence Stirred, but not Shaken. Any Drop in Beef Consumption Likely to be Short Lived. I was always afraid of a knee jerk reaction by people to a case of BSE to be to quit eating beef and really cause the market to crash. This sure indicates, along with prevailing market prices, that this has not happened.
n
nI don't have a lot of faith in our government in general, so I don't have as much confidence in the governments ability to catch additional cases of BSE whereas this study indicates people are confident as ever, if not more confident, in the governments ability to protect our meat supply. Well at least this report indicates to me that all the time I spend feeding the cows and worring about them aren't to no avail. They will at least be worth something and I will be able to continue to make a living doing what I enjoy.
n
nConfidence is contagious. So is lack of confidence. Vince Lombardi
