You could call it a double standard. You could call it hypocrisy. Whichever you call it, I believe it to be wrong. We Americans believe in the rule of law but allow people to be held with no law. We believe in the right of a speedy trail but allow people to be held with no trail or disposition of their case, indefinitely. <a href="http://www.nowherethoughts.net/sarpysam/archives/000010.html">Yes, I have talked about this before.</a><br />n<br />n<i>While I believe it would be wrong to hold these people indefinitely without any kind of hearing, granting them the same rights to lawyers and courts that American citizens have would not be the right way to handle it.
