It appears to me that South Korea has a real problem on its hands. They have <a href="http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=516&e=2&u=/ap/20031224/ap_on_re_as/mad_cow_asia">banned beef from the U.S.</a> due to <acronym title="Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy">BSE</acronym> and an <a href="http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nm/20031223/sc_nm/food_korea_disease_dc_1">Avian Flu outbreak </a>has them slaughtering their poultry flocks at a fast and furious rate. It sure sounds like protein is going to get real high priced there before something breaks.<br />n<br />nJapan has some of the same problems since they are still combating <a href="http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20031006.wcoww1006/BNStory/International/"><acronym title="Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy">BSE</acronym> in their indigenous herds</a> and were relying on U.S. imports for a large part of their beef supply. Also they have been <a href="http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/11/06/tech/main582273.shtml">having problems with their fish supplies</a>. Protein could get real expensive for them.<br />n<br />n<b>No passion so effectually robs the mind of all its powers of acting and reasoning as fear. Edmund Burke (1729 – 1797)</b>
